I remember loosing the radar during the Tulia tornado. wait take that back about it not working during a severe weather event. If not WX WORX I would at least recommend some way of getting data during the chase. It certainly helps you become more aware of what is going on around you. Once past those little quibbles, I do enjoy having it as an aid to the chase. It sounds to me though that I seem have had more issues than most people. Fortunately, I have never had issues when near a severe storm. ![]() And, only a handful of times have I had problems getting the receiver to activate. Sometimes the radar has been off by a few miles (shifted, I think there was a thread briefly on this), once allot more than just a few miles. other than that I usually keep it at the 50 or lower packages (turn it off during winter). I usually only use the $100 dollar a month data package for a single month, when I have my weeks off for chasing. I've used both the $50, and $100 dollar a month data packages. Every time I've considered the switch to cell internet, I end up having some one come up to me saying they're in a data hole and would like to see what's going on. I prefer the WX WORKS since you don't have data holes.

From our prior experience of owning a similar product, we found you can’t cover nearly enough ground to truly clean a floor before dust-mop slippers load up with debris. The bottom line? The broom’s 2,548 bristles (by our count) are densely packed and distributed evenly, and they have flagged (split) tips, which excel at picking up fine, dusty debris. These occasional catches provide scientists with unique opportunities to study this elusive animal. They are rarely seen by humans, although specimens do sometimes show up in the catches of deep water trawlers. Viperfish are found in tropical and temperate waters throughout the world at depths of up to 9,000 feet (2,800 meters). In captivity, they rarely live longer than a few hours. Not much is known about the life span of the viperfish, but most researchers think they live between 15 and 30 years. They are left to fend for themselves until they can reach maturity. Deep-sea creatures (, seafood) are a type of catchable creature introduced in New Leaf, just like bugs and fish. Viperfish are known to be preyed upon by sharks and some species of dolphin.Ĭloseup of a viperfish head and massive jawīecause of the extreme depths at which they are found, very little is known about the reproductive habits of the viperfish. This adaptation is likely a result of the scarce nature of food in the deep sea. Viperfish have a very low basal metabolic rate, which means they can go for days without food. At night they travel up to shallower waters at depths of less than 2,000 feet (600 meters) where food is more plentiful. During daytime hours they are usually found in deep water down to 5,000 feet (1,500 meters). Like many deep-sea creatures, they are known to migrate vertically throughout the day. Viperfish feed primarily on crustaceans and small fish. They also have very large stomachs that allow them to stock up on food whenever it is plentiful. They have a hinged skull, which can be rotated up for swallowing unusually large prey. Viperfish have been observed hanging motionless in the water, waving their lures over their heads like a fishing pole to attract their meals. The unusually large teeth of the viperfish help it to grab hold of its prey at it hunts in the darkness. ![]() The 1968 Thunderbird saw the introduction of the new 385 series big-block "Thunder Jet" 4V (4 barrel carburetor) 429 cu in (7.0 L) V8 engines. ![]() In contrast to the radically different exterior the new interior carried over nearly all of the themes established by the previous generation most notably a dash panel with separately housed instruments along with a downward sweeping/integrated center console and a wraparound rear seat/"lounge". The taillights spanned the full width of the car, and featured, as in previous Thunderbird models, sequential turn signals. Large C-pillars (and a small "formal" rear window on the 4-door) meant poor rear visibility but this was inline with the fashion of the time. The belt line kicked up "coke-bottle" style after the rear windows, again a styling trait that would prove ubiquitous. The sides were the barrel-like "fuselage" style that was very popular during this period. The look was clearly influenced by the air intakes on jet fighters such as the F-100 Super Sabre, and was enhanced by the flush-fitting front bumper incorporating the bottom "lip" of the "mouth". A gaping wide "fishmouth" front grille that incorporated hidden headlights was the most obvious new feature. Ford's stylists delivered a radical shape that in many ways anticipated the styling trends of the next five years. The 1967 design was radically different from what came before. The 4-door Thunderbirds featured quite narrow rear 'suicide' doors. New for 1969, the Continental Mark III coupe was built on the same four-door chassis. It remained in the lineup through 1971 but never generated substantial sales. The convertible, increasingly a slow seller, was dropped in favor of a four-door model that was 2.5 in (6.3 cm) stretched, featuring suicide doors, a signature feature of the Lincoln Continental four-door sedans of that era. The listed retail price of the two-door Landau coupe was US$4,704 ($41,284 in 2022 dollars ). An overhead console (that first appeared on the previous years Town Landau) containing illuminated indicators for emergency flasher use, low-fuel warning, door-ajar and seat-belt reminder light returned in a revised format. Ford decided to abandon the Thunderbird's typical unibody construction for this larger car, turning to a body-on-frame method with sophisticated rubber mountings between the two to improve noise/vibration characteristics and reduce weight by a small margin. History 1968 Ford Thunderbird interiorįor 1967 the Thunderbird would be a larger car, moving it closer to Lincoln as the company chose to emphasize the " luxury" part of the "personal luxury car" designation. They would share commonality again later from 1984–1998. In fact, for 1969 the Continental Mark III was launched as a two-door only personal luxury coupé, that was based directly on the four-door, 117 in (2.97 m) wheelbase Thunderbird chassis, and from that point until the end of 1976, Ford Thunderbirds and Continental Marks were related cars. The debut of the Ford Mustang in early 1964, and subsequent introduction of the larger, more upmarket Mercury Cougar, to compete with the similarly larger Dodge Charger – Chrysler's more upscale answer to Ford and G.M.'s pony cars – began to erode the Thunderbird sales and drove it to still get larger, with Ford even introducing four-door Thunderbird Landaus. The Thunderbird had fundamentally remained the same in concept through 1966, although the design had been revised twice. This fifth generation saw the second major change of direction for the Thunderbird. The fifth generation Ford Thunderbird is a large personal luxury car series, produced by Ford for the 1967–1971 model years. People were encouraged to wear gas-masks for 15 minutes a day to get used to the experience. People reacted in the most uncivilised way because they were so certain that poison gas would be used by the Germans and there were not enough gas masks issued on that first delivery. Elsie was right about the gas masks, and several weeks later there was a mad panic for these frightful looking things at local school rooms, where they were being distributed. Fry, the local Councillor and her next-door neighbour, and he had told her in confidence that the first consignment of gas masks due to be delivered the following week would be far from adequate and it was a question of distribution. Over the next few weeks 38 million gas masks were distributed to regional centres. On the outbreak of the Second World War the government decided to issue a gas mask to everyone living in Britain. ![]() In 1936, a disused mill in Blackburn became a gas mask assembly-plant where, by the Munich Crisis of 1938, more than 30 million gas masks had been manufactured. The result was the General Civilian Respirator. Therefore, the British government asked its scientists at the Porton Down laboratory to design a civilian respirator which could be mass-produced at a unit cost of two shillings. The government feared that the enemy would use aircraft to drop chemical bombs on civilians. This included firing shells at soldiers that contained chlorine, phosgene and mustard gas. During the First World War several countries, including Germany and Britain, had resorted to chemical warfare. In 1934 the British government decided that it was possible that over the next few years it would become involved in a war with Nazi Germany. ▼ References ▼ Spartacus Blog Gas Masks in the Second World War killed more people than they saved ![]() This group often appeals to blatant circular reasoning when debating other translations. Carson writes, “Erasmus utilized several Greek manuscripts, not one of which contained the entire New Testament. To construct his translation, Erasmus had only 6 manuscripts at his disposal from the Byzantine text family (see below for an explanation of the textual families). John Wycliffe translated the first English Bible from the Latin Vulgate in the 14 th century, but it was Erasmus who published the first Greek Bible in 1516, which is called the Textus Receptus. However, this is a question of intellectual debate. White explains, “These individuals would not necessarily believe that those texts themselves are inspired, per se, but that they more accurately reflect the original writings of the prophets or the apostles.” We believe this group is in error (as we’ll see), but they are not militant in any way-merely misguided. This group believes that the KJV was translated from the most faithful Greek manuscripts (e.g. Scholars Zane Hodges and Arthur Farstad fall under this category. While we might debate the legitimacy of the KJV, there is really no significant problem if someone prefers to read this translation. There is really no problem with someone holding to this view. Many Christians grew up reading the KJV, and they enjoy the way it reads. If someone subjectively prefers the KJV, this is their prerogative. There is really no problem with this first group.
